‘Star Wars’ Actor Cast in Mulan

The upcoming, live-action remake of Mulan just cast the 54-year-old actor, Donnie Yen. Donnie Yen, played our fan favorite, Chirrut Imwe, in 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Chirrut, was a guardian of the Kyber Temple on Jedha who, through the will of the force, joined the rebel alliance and became a part of the Rogue One Squadron.

Donnie Yen is casted as a new character, Commander Tung, in the new live-action remake of Mulan. Commander Tung, is said to be a ‘mentor’ for Mulan in the upcoming new release. No more info has been released describing the origins of this new character. Disney has announced Mulan to be released in theatres on March 27th, 2020.
