Cam's Collection Tour
Hey there folks, Cam here! Obviously we didn’t get an episode recorded for this week due to life getting a bit crazier than normal, so here is something a bit different. Since we started this show roughly a year and a half ago I have accumulated a significant collection of Beetleborgs merchandise, so I decided to share my collection with everyone! This is a quick and dirty collection tour that I plan to expand on with a short video in the near future showcasing our whole recording set up. I hope you all enjoy and be sure to stay tuned for a return to your regularly scheduled program next Thursday!
Like I said above, this isn’t everything but it’s a pretty good idea of what I’ve gotten my hands on in the last 18 or so months of collecting. The Beetle Battle Base is one of my newest items and while it's missing the Beetle Attack Vehicles it’s otherwise in good shape! I actually plan to build a mini PC into the shell of the base exclusively for our recording set up! (stay tuned for some photos/videos of that process over on Instagram) My wall display is ever changing. Currently I have the Beetleborgs Style Guide displayed with my prop comic from Season One which is being covered up by the “Flabber and the Hillhurst House Monsters” toy set generously gifted to me by a listener (maybe a video review topic someday?). The sonic laser and pulsaber are also in front of the Style Guide, ready to blast any home invading Magnavores. It isn’t super visible so I included an old photo featuring it, but hanging from my window blinds is an inflatable Reddle (Red Striker Borg) that was one of the first things I got when we started the show.
Below the Style Guide shelf are my three Beetle Bonders, one actually a B Commander from Juukou B Fighter, another custom painted metallic blue by a fellow fan, and the third a bit “battle damaged”. My copy of Power Rangers Turbo VS Beetleborgs Metallix stands next to the Bonders. Next to that shelf you’ll see my copy of Power Rangers VS TMNT #1 with the variant cover by Matt Frank. Beside that are two transformers, Cicadacon and Deluxe Insecticon Venom (gotta get those cicada bots!) and two figures of Finster from MMPR (my favorite power rangers villain/monster ever). On the corner shelf sits my 12” tall Blue Stinger Borg figure, a Lightning Borg figure, extra Beetle Bonder sixed borg figurines, and the Blue Beet and Black Beet figures whose boxes you’ll see Blue Stinger Borg holding in a different photo. A copy of GodPunk Issue Zero signed by myself and artist Khoa Nyugen sits behind Blue Stinger Borg.
My unfinished 3D printed Blue Stinger Borg helmet is on the top corner shelf, taunting me for not finishing it sooner (another thing to check out Instagram for updates on!). My original MMPR morpher sits beside it while two magazine ads featuring Beetleborgs flop down behind. Next to the helmet shelf are five Juukou B Fighter chibi figures I snagged from Mandarake last year for crazy cheap, they might be the cutest things in my collection and I haven’t seen a similar set since! The posters and art on my wall are, from left to right: custom sketch of the Godzilla and Anguirus Power Rangers by Matt Frank, Custom sketch over of Action Comics #1000 drawn by Brian Atkins, two custom pieces featuring my Godzilla Ranger and the Green Zeo Ranger by Carlos Zarur Jr. inspired by MMPR covers by Goni Montes, a Rodan print by Matt Frank, and our very own Beetle Bros Halloween Special poster design from last year!
That’s it for my collection as it stands! I’ll post some better photos to Instagram here soon and also be doing some more walk through style stuff as I work on the Blue Stinger Helmet and Beetle Battle PC. Thanks everyone for tagging along on this tour and I hope it filled the void of a regular episode until next week!
