Premium Bandai Juukou B-Fighter Announcements!!

Hey there folks! So due to some technical difficulties (Cam’s potato computer, again) we lost our bonus episode we recorded for this week, sadly. But never fear! We will be recording more bonus content and covering the final six episodes of Metallix in the coming weeks!

In the meantime we thought it would be fun to share some surprising B Fighter/Beetleborgs news that was announced in recent weeks. Some of you may have already heard but just in case, Bandai has announced they will be releasing a number of new Juukou B-Fighter (AKA first season Beetleborgs) items later this year! This was announced in late January of this year with most items looking to be released around June of 2022. But what all has been announced? Well THAT is the fun part (and the somewhat complicated part as all imported merch announcements tend to be).

The biggest and baddest announcement to come from this is the release of a brand new, fully modern, complete Juukou B-Fighter B-Commander aka Beetle Bonder! This toy will be sized based off the in-series props (which we THINK means slightly larger than the original toy) and include a significant amount of features and accessories never before seen in a release of these toys.

Included in the new Complete B-Commander are all 3 fully painted B-Fighter figurines for inserting plus 3 translucent versions that will glow when the lights and sounds are activated. Unlike the original version that had the 3 different beetle horns folded into the device, this version has all 3 options as removable pieces to be swapped out. What was previously a sticker showing the inner circuitry of the device is now molded details with intricate paint applications. The lights and sounds have both been significantly upgraded to now include the full theme song, henshin sound, various battle sound effects, summoning of the attack vehicles, and original voice lines from Blue Beet, Green Stag, and Professor Mukai! SO MANY SOUNDS! A stand for the device is also included, which is always a nice touch. This awesome new Beetle Bonder/B-Commander can currently be pre-ordered in the USA through Bigbadtoystore.com, Tokullectibles.com, and a few other toy importers. The price is between $180 and $200 depending on shipping estimates, well within the range of a mint condition original version from the 90s!

Now we come to the additional items that are less likely to be officially available through USA importers. An acrylic stand of the Juukou B Fighter logo is available through Tokullectibles for a significantly more reasonable price of roughly $26. Alongside the stand Bandai is also releasing standing acrylic cuts of all 3 B-Fighters, Mega Blue Beet, and Black Beet (Shadowborg). These are currently only available through Japanese vendors as best as we have been able to find. Another set of items we haven’t found a US vendor for are the 3 killer looking shirts being released! These shirts show Super Blue Beet, Black Beet, and all 3 Beetle Fighters in true 90s toku glory! If you know where we can get our hands on any of these Japanese exclusive items please feel free to let us know cus we would love to snag these to represent the better half of our beloved Beetleborgs!

And with that, we’ve run out of amazing announcements for this time around! A huge thanks to Tokullectibles for helping spread the word about this announcement and being one of the first to open pre orders for the B Commander and acrylic logo stand. Cam has already pre ordered his B Commander and you can bet your beetle backsides we will find a way to record a full video review of it when it arrives! We even have USA and Japanese versions of the original (in varying states of decay) to compare it to. So stay tuned for all that later this summer and hopefully some more B Fighter announcements out of Bandai if these items sell well!
