Rumor: Jon Favreau's show will focus on Mandalore
With Episode IX just having started production, let's not forget about the other projects that are currently in the works. One of those projects is the tv-series that Jon Favreau is working on. Sources of Jason Ward told him a rumor that this show will be focusing on Mandalore.
This would certainly be an interesting topic for the show, that's set to take place 3 years after Return of the Jedi. Perhaps Mandalore fell back into turmoil when the Empire was defeated, and it's up to Sabine to restore it to its former glory. Having Sabine as one of the main protagonists would leave the door open for the Rebellion, creating additional story-threads. And for people who loved Rebels, a live action Sabine could create more interest.
And then there's of course the question if Boba Fett would make an appearance. Although he's technically not Mandalorian, many fans do associate him with Mandalore. In Legends, Boba Fett survived the Sarlacc pitt, so it would be interesting to see if they choose to 'revive' him a second time.
So far it's all rumors and speculation, but if this proves true then there are a lot of intriguing stories to tell. What do you think? Would you like Mandalore to be the main focus, or would you rather see other things in this show?
